This student project is an exploration into civic gestures within public space adjoining the city. The brief included Federation Square, Centre for Moving Image, and Museum for Contemporary Art. The design concentrates on three urban issues essential to the site: CBD edge concerns - Melbourne’s historic green belt; street/lane types versus built form; and overall site hierarchy.
